سلام به شما زبان آموزانِ عزیز وبسایت eflhere! من میترا لطفعلی هستم و این هفته یک درسِ یادگیریِ لغت براتون حاضر کردم.
موضوعِ درس این هفته، راجع به یادگیری کلماتِ مربوط به سفر کردن به زبان انگلیسی هست. سفر کردن یا Traveling یکی از موضوعات رایج در بخشهای مختلف امتحان آیلتس، از جمله Speaking, Listening, Writing,… هست.
خب، همینطور که می‌دونین، سفر کردن، میتونه انواعِ مختلفی داشته باشه: مثل رفتن به یه تعطیلات ساحلی، سفرِ پیکنیکی به کوه و جنگل، یا دیدنِ شهرهای معروف و مکانهای توریستی و… .
این هفته قصد دارم Collocations و Phrasal verbs مخصوص به چند نوع سفر رو با هم تمرین کنیم و یاد بگیریم که چطور میشه از اونها برای توصیف سفر استفاده کرد.
Beach Vacation
As I live in a very cold and cloudy city, spending my vacation where there are lots of sunny spells is extremely appealing to me. So, for my last journey I set off for the beach, located in the southern part of my country. It was June, which was a prefect time to do water sports. I’m not a big fan of road trips, so I got a flight on a low-cost airline which was surprisingly smooth. When I Arrived there, I tired to look for somewhere to stay. I’d heard about some beautiful old cottages at the beach, great for a relaxing holiday. But my budget didn’t stretch to staying in one of them since they were terribly overpriced. Then I changed my mind and spent the whole week in a bed and breakfast accommodation that was pretty basic but neat. I didn’t care though, because I spent most of my time outdoor,at the beach. The beach was fabulous with long stretches of white sand and crystal clear water. I went snorkeling every single day, and I also tried to sunbathe as much as I could. On top of that, I had a breathtaking experience in there for the first time, scuba diving! Being able to go deep in the sea and watch amazing sea creatures, was a unique and mysterious experience for me which I’ll never forget! Another thing that I enjoyed a lot, was the weather; warm and sunny everyday and it really boosted my spirit. All in all, I couldn’t possibly have had a better holiday! I just didn’t want it to end.
Camping
When it comes to traveling, I always get itchy feet and have a thirst for excitement. Last year, my brother and I decided to go on an adventurous camping trip in the mountains. We hit the road with high spirits, but without having a clue of what was expecting us. After only two hours, we faced severe weather condition which made us pull over and wait for a couple of hours. That said, it didn’t take long before the sky was sunny and clear again. Then we continued our journey. It was nearly evening when we had a stopover in a quaint little village to both eat and stay overnight. The local people there, were extremely hospitable and had a warm welcome which made us feel at ease. They invited us to their houses and even offered us their dinner. Next morning, as soon as we got up, we set off on our journey again. As we got closer to our destination, a mountain range in the northeast of my country, the roads got really steep and winding which made us slow down a bit. We finally arrived there and set up our camp somewhere in the valley to have a bit of rest before sunset as it was getting dark. After making fire, we cooked some hot dogs over it because we were starving and we didn’t have anything except some snacks since morning. The next day, we started trekking through the mountains. The scenery on the way up there was so breathtaking and the air was crisp, ideal for escaping from the heat in the city. When we finally got to the top, we were able to overlook the valley below which was quite scenic. Altogether, although it was a very arduous journey with the rough roads and weather problem, it was really worth it.
